I searched for Fantasy Fiction on Twitter's search engine and came up with varied results including publicity for a publisher and various people talking about what they like or their wish to write fantasy fiction etc.
The same search on TweepSearch brought up heaps of people who had Fantasy fiction as one of their interests but also some sites such as @scifi_book which Tweets new science fiction and fantasy book releases on the day of their publication.
On the whole Twitter just annoys me because the information available is very brief and not particularly interesting, so no, I have not become a twitter addict (not that you were asking).

Get to the Point: Twitter Trends
ReplyDeleteAs Twitter grows and the number of tweets each day continues to astound us, we’ve noticed an increasing amount of clutter in the public timeline, especially with trending topics. Trends began as a useful way to find out what’s going on but has grown less interesting due to the noisiness of the conversation.
So, today we're starting to experiment with improvements to trends that will help you find more relevant tweets. Specifically, we're working to show higher quality results for trend queries by returning tweets that are more useful. The improvement won't be very noticeable at first, but this is a small step toward unearthing more value in search and getting you more relevant results.
This was on the Twitter blog- I'm not the only one who things there is a load of old rubbish on there!
