I searched for Fantasy Fiction on Twitter's search engine and came up with varied results including publicity for a publisher and various people talking about what they like or their wish to write fantasy fiction etc.
The same search on TweepSearch brought up heaps of people who had Fantasy fiction as one of their interests but also some sites such as @scifi_book which Tweets new science fiction and fantasy book releases on the day of their publication.
On the whole Twitter just annoys me because the information available is very brief and not particularly interesting, so no, I have not become a twitter addict (not that you were asking).

Twitter Accounts
I had a look at Meg Cabot's Twitter page as I have enjoyed some of her books. She appears to be usuing it for similar things as people use their Facebook- sharing various things, including a videoclip on Vampires which I didn't take the time to download.
Auckland City Council's is more informative with updated info about the Santa Parade, Auckland City Libraries extended loan perios over Christmas etc. It all looks useful information but is presumably available on their web page.
I don't feel inspired to join in the Twittering from what I have seen - looks very time consuming.
